Delivery Receipt Printing and Inventory Management
Throughout their expansion process, fast and reliable delivery has remained of utmost importance for this food manufacturer. Despite the complexities of delivering frozen desserts to a growing list of vendors, the company maintains customer satisfaction with streamlined deliveries. They have successfully implemented the Route4Me platform for delivery routing and mapping. The RuggedJet 4 uses Bluetooth® and mFi technology to wirelessly connect to the Route4Me platform on the drivers’ smart devices, allowing them to print delivery receipts from within the truck or on-site at the delivery location. At only 6-inches wide, the RuggedJet 4 is highly durable, lightweight, and convenient for drivers to carry on their belt clips.
The delivery receipt solution includes:
- Brother RuggedJet 4 mobile printers
- Brother auxiliary power outlet adapters
- Brother printer carrying case
- Thermal receipt paper
Historically, company delivery drivers have stocked their trucks full of a variety of flavors and simply began their delivery routes. At each delivery location, they checked the client’s cooler to see which flavors needed replenishment. Then, restocked the cooler as needed and moved on to their next location.
Now, drivers can print delivery receipts or invoices indicating the exact quantities of each desert flavor that was delivered. Not only are these receipts necessary for proof of delivery, but they also help to accurately update inventory levels and better predict flavors for future deliveries.



What’s next?
The company is currently testing its L-Tron recommended receipt printing solution in the Philadelphia area and getting ready to roll out the solution nationwide with 200-300 printers. They also plan to order backup chargers and batteries.
