From day one, our engineers and L-Tron software developers designed OSCR360 from the voice of our customers. We have continued listening and responding to our clients’ feedback ever since.
Today, we continue building new features and updates to reflect the needs of investigators, school safety teams, first responders and prosecutors. These features are only accessible to customers who are part of an active OSCR360 Software Support Plan.
In addition to new features and updates, see why utilizing an OSCR360 Software Support Plan is valuable for all of our OSCR360 clients.
What is the OSCR360 Software Support Plan?
The OSCR360 Software Support Plan provides access to regular software updates and round-the-clock technical support from L-Tron. The plan ensures that OSCR360 continues to work for your agency, even if there are updates to your IT infrastructure. Having an OSCR360 Software Support Plan ensures that in the middle of the night, when you are processing a complicated crime scene, our team will be available to troubleshoot any issues.
You can rest assured that your agency will have uninterrupted access to the most recent bug fixes, new features, and performance enhancements.

What is included in OSCR360 updates and software releases?
The updates in each software release or patch update may vary, but every new feature is intended to improve user experience. Some updates ensure that your OSCR360 software can work with the latest version of Windows or Google maps, while others allow for more exciting features – like redacting or blurring specific evidence in your 360 images.
“Over 70% of agencies stay current with the software plan, which gives them 24/7 technical support, constant new features, Google map updates, user interface improvements, and so much more.”
Dave Wakefield, OSCR360 Account Manager
A few of the latest OSCR360 software updates have included:
Adding lines, arrows, and text to OSCR images
- This update was developed with schools in mind to clearly label evacuation and reunification routes. This update also allows investigators to circle key locations in crime scene photographs and assists first responders with adding and formatting text for training presentations.
Facial blurring within 360-images
- This update was developed with prosecutors in mind to redact a portion of an image to protect victim identities.
Custom icons and colors for Points-of-Interest (POIs)
- This update was developed to help users create more visually compelling presentations.
View all 360 photo annotations (POIs, notes, blurs) in an organized list
- This update was developed to assist users in keeping track of completed annotations as they work through a project.
An added “grid view” to complement the traditional filmstrip view of 360-images.
- This update was developed to accommodate personal viewing preferences. The “grid view” also allows for easier organization of 360-images.
“The OSCR360 Software Support Plan gives users access to new software updates we put out and is actually included in your initial OSCR purchase for the first year. If you choose not to renew software support, you simply stop receiving updates from us, but don’t lose access to anything you already have. That said, we encourage all OSCR360 customers to continue with support, so that they can continue to utilize OSCR to the system’s fullest potential”
Ben Peay, OSCR360 Account Manager
