L-Tron will be attending the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police (GACP) Digital ID Reader Tech Expo Day on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, in Tifton, Georgia. This is the second Tech Expo Day that the GACP is hosting, and L-Tron will be showcasing the new L-Tron Mobile Driver’s License Reader (mDLR-1).
The Digital ID Reader Tech Expo Day will give Georgia law enforcement agencies the opportunity to explore and interact with mobile driver’s license reader technology. The event runs from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM and includes three demonstration blocks throughout the day, allowing attendees to visit participating vendors and see digital ID reader solutions firsthand.
At the previous GACP Tech Day event Georgia police departments and sheriff’s offices gathered to discover more about mobile ID technology and solutions related to the state’s evolving digital driver’s license requirements.
Read Mobile IDs at Traffic Stops with the L-Tron mDL Reader
During the upcoming October event, attendees will have the opportunity to see L-Tron’s patented mDLR-1 in action. Built directly from Law Enforcement feedback, the L-Tron mDL reader allows Officers to read both mobile IDs and physical driver’s licenses at traffic stops, without having to touch a motorist’s phone.
The mDLR-1 supports NFC, QR code, and PDF417 barcode verification, and works with existing eCitation/RMS software with little to no impact on patrol vehicle IT. Designed with Officer safety in mind, the reader also features minimal buttons, a built-in camera and flashlight, and a durable design that will hold up to the patrol vehicle environment.
