The L-Tron team will attend the 2026 New York State Highway Safety Symposium from October 19-22, 2026, hosted by the Institute for Highway Traffic Safety, Management and Research. The event will be held at The Conference Center at Lake Placid in Lake Placid, NY.
This year’s symposium will bring together highway safety professionals and stakeholders from across New York State. This includes law enforcement, traffic engineers, policymakers, prosecutors, officials and community organizations. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in workshops and presentations focused on current traffic safety initiatives, best practices, and emerging technology.
L-Tron’s Trevor DiMarco will be giving a presentation titled, “Mobile Driver’s License Technology for Law Enforcement” on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 11:30 AM-12:20 PM in the Lussi Ballroom.
Trevor DiMarco to Present on Mobile Driver’s Licenses
DiMarco’s presentation, “Mobile Driver’s License Technology for Law Enforcement,” will provide attendees with a practical overview of mobile driver’s license technology and how digital IDs may impact agencies in the field.
Mobile Driver’s Licenses (also known as mDLs or mIDs) are becoming an important new tool for identity verification that law enforcement may be required to interact with. Instead of carrying only a physical license, individuals can securely store their ID on a smartphone and share information during a traffic stop, through airport security, or for other interactions.

During the session, DiMarco will discuss L-Tron’s real-world experience working with mDL technology and supporting agencies as they prepare for digital ID adoption. Topics will include verifying digital IDs, officer safety considerations, privacy concerns, equipment compatibility, training needs, best practices for implementation, and lessons learned from pilot programs and customer feedback.
Meet with L-Tron at the Symposium
Throughout the symposium, L-Tron team members Julianne Pangal and Trevor DiMarco will be available to speak with attendees about public safety technology solutions, including the 4910LR Driver’s License Scanner, L-Tron’s patented Mobile Driver’s License Reader (mDLR-1), and the patented OSCR360 System.
The 4910LR is purpose-built for roadside stops, electronic citations, and accident reports. Officers can quickly scan driver’s licenses and vehicle registration barcodes to auto-populate data into their eCitation software, helping reduce manual entry and improve accuracy in the field. As mobile driver’s licenses become more widely adopted, L-Tron’s mDLR-1 will allow officers to read both mobile and physical IDs at traffic stops – without having to touch a motorist’s phone.
The L-Tron team will also be available to share OSCR360 with attendees. The OSCR360 system was built to capture, organize, and present digital evidence in a comprehensive virtual walkthrough format. Law enforcement agencies use OSCR360 for crash and crime scene investigations, search warrant documentation, courtroom testimony, school safety planning, training, and more.
Whether your agency is interested in patrol vehicle equipment or investigation technology, the L-Tron team looks forward to connecting with you in Lake Placid.
