The L-Tron team has returned from a successful trip to the annual Chesapeake Bay Division’s IAI Educational Conference in Gettysburg, PA. L-Tron’s John Dobies and Julianne Pangal attended the 2022 CBD IAI Conference, demo-ing OSCR360 to attendees. Dobies was also given the opportunity to speak as a conference presenter on the final day of the conference.

Dobies’ presentation focused on a hunting-related shooting fatality case that went to grand jury trial. The 30-year law enforcement veteran demonstrated how OSCR360 was instrumental during his courtroom testimony. Dobies explained how he effectively walked jurors through the crime scene from both the hunter’s and victim’s perspectives. During the presentation, the audience was able to see how OSCR integrates 360-degree photos, digital evidence, map/hand sketch overlays, and more to connect every detail of the case for jury members. Dobies walked presentation attendees through the investigation process, shared some of the questions presented by the case, and demonstrated how the jury was able to virtually revisit the scene. This provided an understanding of the events that had transpired around the shooting, resulting in the grand jury’s guilty verdict.

Throughout the duration of the conference, the L-Tron team was able to network with current and prospective customers, as well as conference organizers. One friendly face was OSCR user, Tom Mauriello, who is an instructor at the University of Maryland and presented at this year’s conference.

Dobies and Pangal also chatted with Officers from numerous agencies who expressed interest in L-Tron’s OSCR360. Many attendees found OSCR360 to be a valuable tool for case presentation and organization. They appreciated that the system is fast and easy-to-use to use at crime and crash scenes.

The next event for the L-Tron team is the IACP Technology Conference in Milwaukee, WI this May.
